Role Summary:

The Controls Commissioning Engineer is to

support a greenfield project with our

consortium partners. They will be

responsible for the definition and planning

of project hook-up, pre-commissioning and

commissioning activities. Operationally will

report to the project team but functionally

back into Engineering. Role is for the

duration of the project.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead with all applicable environmental,

health and safety regulations and quality

requirements including Concern Reports,

STOP, job safety assessments (JSA) and

risk assessments

• Ensure all commissioning and related

activities are completed in safe and

environmentally compliant manner

• Provide leadership, clear direction and

effective strategy to the HUC activities

• Development of work execution

strategies and procedures including

contracting strategies

• Development of tender documents,

evaluation of tenders, award of contracts

• Responsible for field supervision of

commissioning and related activities,

including day to day management and

supervision of field and project personnel

• Ensure all commissioning activities are

completed on schedule and within budget

• Technical integrity of projects is sound

and consistent with company and statutory

requirements

• Developing and maintaining an open and

close working relationship with all internal

groups, operations, maintenance, site

construction personnel, and external stakeholders

• Completion of technical documentation as

required for project close-out, operational

requirements, and statutory compliance

• Project scheduling, cost tracking and

reporting

• Forward planning of resource

requirements

• Recording of field work including quality

assurances

• Responsible for project engineering and

project management for facilities

development projects

• Coordinate various disciplinary specialists

as required for projects

• Assist in developing project concepts,

scopes and budgets

• Assist in defining and developing

campaign and small-medium project

management and control systems,

processes and procedures

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Degree in Instrumentation and Control

Systems Engineering, or Industrial

Computer Systems Engineering or related

discipline or an equivalent combination of

qualifications and relevant experience

• 10 years of engineering experience within

the subsea industry or related service

organisation

• Field experience in subsea installations,

troubleshooting and interventions

• Sound knowledge of environmental,

health and safety, and quality regulations

within the oil and gas industry

• Good communication skills, with an ability

to communicate well in a multilingual/

multi-cultural team environment

• Good English language skills, both verbal

and written

• Knowledge of relevant and applicable

International and Australian Standards
