As a Pipeline NDT Technician, you will be required to develop techniques, applications, and procedures within our advanced pipeline services offerings (Phased Array, TOFD, Laser, Automated Ball Indentation, & Guided Wave). You will be responsible for championing one or more of these key services within the product line on key customer projects, and developing teams capable of delivering these services across our client portfolio. Driving the evolution of these advanced services and aligning this growth with our client requirements will be how the success of this role is determined.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (RESPONSIBILITIES):
Responsible for updating inspection procedures, and technique sheets for pipeline specific applications within the advanced NDT equipment services.
Responsible for developing new techniques, verifying the results / accuracies / deliverables, and creating training curriculums / procedures to teach additional personnel to implement on field projects.
Must understand or be capable of developing deep understanding of federal regulations, and requirements that must be satisfied by the advanced equipment and services being provided.
Extensive customer interaction at multiple levels (field inspectors, engineers, managers), to support the advanced services and development for particular field applications.
Capable of building and delivering presentations in various environments (tradeshows to customer sales meetings).
Responsible for communicating the required resources necessary to meet established timelines in alignment with both Client requirements and Product Line Goals & Objectives.
Solid leadership and interpersonal qualities that enable working within a Matrix organization, where fluid communication across a remote team structure is paramount.
High school Diploma
Two-year Technical Degree or equivalent experience
Four years of Technical experience working with at least two of the Advanced NDE Services listed above
High level of competence in operating computerized analysis and reporting packages
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong background in effective utilization of Microsoft Office Suite of tools
Proven ability to work with minimum supervision
Customer Service oriented
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Valid Driver's License
Ability to pass a Background Check and Drug Test
Valid TWIC card
Minimum of 3 of the following ASNT NDT Certifications as Level II UT, MT, PT or ET
