Closing date: 27 October 2019

Take on new challenges, put your skills to the test and protect offshore workers across the UK with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

At HSE, we work with one goal in mind - to help keep Britain's workforce safe. We are the independent regulator for work-related health and safety in Great Britain, and our work touches virtually every sector of UK industry. Combining experts from every field, we strive to keep people and their working environments as healthy and secure as possible.

As an Offshore Process Engineer, you'll join a team of specialist inspectors working to prevent major accident hazards in offshore installations and protect workers across the oil and gas sector. You'll carry out inspections, investigate dangerous occurrences, create specialist reports and help shape industry standards to improve working environments for generations to come. What's more, joining us means working in a government priority area for an internationally respected organisation, giving you sought-after experience along the way.

You'll bring a wealth of process engineering experience to the role, including knowledge of the design, installation, and operation of process plant within the offshore oil and gas industry. But just as much, it's about thinking strategically, engaging all kinds of people effectively and sound decision-making under pressure. A degree or equivalent qualification in chemical or process engineering is essential, along with status as a Chartered Engineer, membership of IChemE (or equivalent qualifications) and a full UK driving license.

The role is a high-profile opportunity that allows you to take advantage of exceptional specialist training and develop your career at pace. Find out more about the role or apply today.
