Help protect marine workers and the environment for generations to come while putting your expertise to the test with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
At HSE, we work with one goal in mind - to help keep Britain's workforce safe. We are the independent regulator for work-related health and safety in Great Britain, and our work touches virtually every sector of UK industry. Combining experts from every field, we strive to keep people and their working environments as healthy and secure as possible.
Offshore Marine Engineers are tasked with using their in-depth knowledge to regulate marine-related industries, prevent major accident hazards and protect both workers and the environment. You'll provide expert advice to a wide range of businesses, carry out inspections, and help improve safety across the sector, engaging with a huge variety of stakeholders in the process. What's more, joining us means working in a government priority area for an internationally respected organisation, giving you sought-after experience along the way.
Naturally, this role requires substantial experience in marine engineering and maintaining safety in offshore environments. This includes knowledge of risk assessment, design and inspections as well as codes and standards. You should also be able to work offshore for several days at a time. A degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering or science background is essential, along with membership as a chartered engineer (or equivalent) and a full UK driving license.
With us, you can help shape the future of an entire sector while taking advantage of exceptional training and high-profile opportunities. Find out more about the role or apply today.
