Role Summary:

Baker Hughes Co utilizes master data management to support its financial reporting systems. In this solution set, Oracle DRM is used as its enterprise change management solution. The Technical Product Management Staff will support the Finance team in implementation and operation of this solution, and the surrounding integrations, to support this key Finance function.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role of Staff Application Operations Engineer, you will:
  • Be responsible for hands-on implementation and support of Oracle DRM working with functional chart champions and owners of consuming applications, implementing monthly metadata maintenance updates. This role applies technical application knowledge utilizing its functionality such as compares, action scripts, exports, and derived properties, and DRGs
  • Use coding methods in specific programming languages (SQL, DRM scripting) to initiate or enhance program execution and functionality
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of interfaces to or from other financial system applications
  • Automation and scripting of tasks
  • Manage user security roles and access
  • Support the integration of acquisitions (both the company's and the inherited systems).
  • Resolve end user support requests
  • Actively participate as a team member on project teams to ensure operational readiness of new deployments or enhancements
  • Build a series of complimentary deliverables, driving out end solution, and maintaining compliance
  • Advise on best practices for business processes and technology
  • Support enterprise-wide data governance initiatives. Help develop robust change control process utilizing functionality of master data management tools, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Provide supporting documentation for changes
  • Monitor program execution for expected performance
  • Support application upgrades by executing and validating test plans

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) field from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in IT Development / Support
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Oracle DRM administration

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Travel 10% of the time, as required
  • Work out of an office located in Houston TX

Desired Characteristics:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in IT Development / Support, preferably
  • Demonstrated ability to support all phases of the delivery life cycle, including requirements definition, design, development, conversion and testing.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to drive execution plans w/ shared outcomes
  • Strong ability to communicate results in forms that resonate with the business collaborators, highlighting actionable insights
  • Strong problem solving, and analytical skills demonstrated the ability to assimilate new information and understand complex topics
  • Familiarity with agile/iterative project methodology such as Scrum
  • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with other Baker Hughes businesses
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity
  • Able to work under minimal supervision, adaptive
  • Self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment
  • Demonstrates clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions
