Role Summary:

In this role UAS Field Technician, you will:

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Assist work groups in order to meet assigned objectives.
  • Work within defined parameters to apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity
  • Assist in the operation, maintenance, repair, safe handling of Avitas Systems' UAS, sensors and equipment
  • On-site interpretation of data and technical instruction
  • Play a key role in the successful execution of complex field operations
  • Provide technical assistance with operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Review reported malfunctions and identify / analyze any undesirable trends

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institutions with a minimum 5 years of UAS experience including minimum 3 years of experience with flight control software such as DJI, PixHawk, UGCS, PIX4D, Litchi and minimum 1 year of expereince with Liar, OGI, RGB and TDLAS sensors)
  • Minimum 3 years of UAS experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with flight control software such as DJI, PixHawk, UGCS, PIX4D, Litchi
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Lidar, OGI, RGB and TDLAS sensors

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Travel 20% of the time, as required
  • FAA Certified Remote Pilot FAA SUAS 107

Desired Characteristics:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • 50+ hours flight time with UAS systems
  • Minimum 2 years of Oil & Gas field activities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
