This position will join Marathon's Digital Field Technology group supporting Artificial Lift systems and users in the North American Resource Plays. The successful candidate will have a proven track record supporting and implementing LOWIS, ForeSite and other artificial lift systems.
Serve as the SME for Artificial Lift systems at Marathon including LOWIS and ForeSite
Install, upgrade, configure and maintain the LOWIS application in North America
Work closely with Marathon's LOWIS user community to troubleshoot issues, drive standards and improve the systems
Serve as the primary liaison with the system's vendors, coordinating support and enhancements
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, working closely with users, SCADA teams and IT Services
Stay abreast of industry trends for Artificial Lift systems and Internet of things (IoT)
Assist with other related activities as directed by the SCADA manager
Education: Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
Systems Experience: 5 yrs+ using, implementing and supporting LOWIS / ForeSite. Experience with other Artificial Lift systems is also preferred
Work Experience: 7 yrs+ working in the Oil and Gas industry. Field experience implementing and maintaining Artificial Lift wells preferred
Working knowledge of the typical artificial lift types and their optimization methods: ESP, Rod Lift, Gas Lift, Plunger Lift, Jet Lift
Experience with Baker Advantage and Lufkin Well Manager Variable Frequency Drives preferred
Experience with mapping controller protocols such as Modbus
Soft skills: Highly collaborative with the ability to effectively work and communicate with all levels of Marathon and external contacts. High degree of initiative and proven capability to multi-task and prioritize. Must be service and team oriented.
Location and Travel
Based in Houston, reporting to Manager - SCADA Systems
Periodic travel to field offices and facilities (approximately 15%)
