Analysts, Inc. (a Bureau Veritas company) is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician for its Suwanee, GA Laboratory.

JOB DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:
•Perform chemical and physical properties testing of lubricants, fuel, and coolant samples in accordance with ASTM and other documented test procedures.
•Follow basic laboratory procedures and safety precautions pertaining to chemicals, solvents, handling of glassware; dispensing and mixing of solutions; precise measuring and weighing of liquids and solids.
•Operates laboratory equipment and instruments such as microscopes, centrifuge, agitators, viscosimeter, chemical balance scales, spectrophotometer, gas chromatograph, colorimeter, and other equipment.
•Achieve productivity and quality goals.
•Be able to help out with data posting as well with entering results into the LIMS system and filing and sorting of documents.
Skills & Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple tasks. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
Experience & Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Petroleum laboratory experience or course work in Chemistry a plus.
