Role Summary:

Responsible for providing financial planning, analysis and reporting for India Region. Responsibilities include analyzing financial data and making recommendations to Finance and/or Operating leaders. May be the lead finance analyst of the Global Operations - Finance team, serving as a business partner to the Region Leadership team to drive business initiatives, growth, business strategy, and profitability. This position reports to a Region Finance Leader.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ownership for developing S2, MRP, GSP, operating plans, estimates & blue print reviews for $500M+ India business across the product companies
  • Lead & drive the quick market intelligence (QMI) for orders, convertibility & cash across the product companies.
  • Manage region cost base to drive productivity & profitability
  • Partner in driving profitable growth in the region by providing analysis of results and identifying & tracking key metrics while advising the leadership team on risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions
  • Work with Controllership, Compliance & Operational teams to adopt BHGE SOP's for order booking, revenue recognition, expense accruals & cash workflows
  • Work closely with the sales organization to ensure that the deal machine numbers are accurately reflected for quality pacing
  • Work with FP&A leader & the product company finance managers to identify areas of leakage & action plans to arrest leaks
  • Work closely with HQ & product company FP&A teams in driving cross functional projects
  • Lead cross-functional projects to drive simplification throughout the organization and to improve rigor in key Finance processes
  • Finance IT simplification: Act as a champion in driving improvised standard reporting packages & reducing manual touchpoints across the work spectrum by leveraging IT.
  • As Lead Finance Analyst work on key region deals on commercial finance aspects like finance analytics, terms, pricing, contract and reviews
  • Be the finance lead analyst on key region projects like ERP migration, GE Separation initiatives, Demerger of Legal entities, lead for finance processes set up of the technology center


Qualifications/Requirements:

Preferably Chartered Accountant or MBA finance with 3-4 years of work experience including developing forecasts & operating plans and leading business / finance reviews.

  • Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively
  • Solid PC skills especially in Excel & power point.
  • Experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, Hyperion)
  • Confidence / Assertiveness: Confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position
  • Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transaction flows
  • Experience of working in a matrix environment is added advantage
  • Adaptable/flexible: being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
  • Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others
  • Basic understanding of financial compliance
  • Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma
  • Graduate of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP); or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS); or graduate of other financial leadership programs
