Role Summary

Director - Data & Analytics is responsible for the Architecture & Governance of the BHGE D&A platform. The leader will have ownership of the development, implementation and sustenance of an enterprise architecture & governance strategy for the Next gen data platform. This role leads directly an internal team that will devise architecture roadmap & governance practices for the platform liaising closely with the platform operations and applications teams.

Essential Responsibilities

  • This role is responsible to implement Data Architecture and Governance disciplines to an evolving enterprise data warehouse, data hub, and project-based data applications. This role clearly articulates the Vision, Strategy, Governance, Technology and Metrics related to Data Warehousing Architecture to his/her direct team, the extended team and to the Organization. In the role of Director - Data & Analytics, you will:
  • Shape technology direction for Data & Analytics working closely with platform & function/application leaders within D&A.
  • Establish architecture & governance vision for different solutions aligning to the overall technology direction, addressing the needs of the business and supplemented with an actionable strategy & measurable outcomes.
  • Develop a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive data architecture viewpoint evolving into a temperature-based data store with data lake and data hub components allowing for extensibi


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Master's in Computer Science preferred
  • Minimum 15 years of data warehousing experience
  • Responsible for implementing a large scale data warehouse/data lake across a multi ERP business entity landscape
  • Minimum 5 years of People Management experience
  • 5 years experience with Erwin or similar tool to build data models
  • Fluent in data modelling practices including Inmon/Kimball, bus architecture, Types of Dimensions for CDC

  • Maintained and implemented db hardware farms and familiar with HA concepts

  • Resourceful and quick learner; able to efficiently seek out, learn, & apply new areas of expertise as needed
  • Passionate about driving change and influence across the enterprise, demonstrated experience influencing and promoting change
  • Entrepreneurial inclination to discover novel opportunities for applying analytical techniques to business / scientific problems across the company
