Role Summary:

BHGE seeks an experienced Electronics Hardware Engineer to lead and perform design, mfg and sustaining functions for Intelligent Production System products at the BHGE center in Pune. Works primarily in Electrical engg in product devpt, design, sustaining, or R&D Plans and conducts research, design & devpt of IPS products. Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and makes sound design recommendations. Assesses results for applicability, validity and conformance to specifications

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Experience with Board Design and Electronics design tools for e.g. Altium Designer or similar product
  • Design and development experience - power supply, analog, digital, mixed signal and product life cycle hardware design and documentation.
  • Exposure to Control Systems of electromechanical device.
  • Exposure to interfaces RS232, RS485, I2C, SPI, CAN, etc..
  • Exposure to Engineering Change Management
  • Knowledge on usage of T & M equipment's like : Digital Oscilloscope/Logic analyzer, function generator, test point probing
  • Product Sustenance and Documentation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Product life cycle design and documentation.
  • Ability to root cause a failure and/or trend at the circuit and system level.
  • Knowledge of Intelligent Production Systems products used in the oil and gas industry


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Electronics Engineering from a recognized university with excellent academic record
  • Have minimum of 5 to 6 years industry experience
  • Master's degree in the field of Electrical Electronics Engineering preferred
  • Experience with Board Design and Electronics design tools for e.g. Altium Designer or similar product
  • Design and development experience - Analog, Digital, Microcontrollers, sensors, etc..
  • Exposure to interfaces RS232, RS485, I2C, SPI, CAN, etc..


Desired Characteristics:
  • Preferred Certified Interconnect Designer (CID) basic or advanced.
  • Electro/mechanical design experience desired.
  • Experience in qualification testing e.g. vibration testing, and temperature testing.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Exposure on DFMEA.
  • Project Management Skills
  • Ability to work autonomously within strategic guidelines
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Presentation skills
  • Skills in the use of Microsoft office packages, SAP and identifying process improvements
  • Knowledge on RoHS, WEEE, CE etc
