Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

In a Software Engineering Department, the Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and testing the back end solution for web application or desktop applications. The person will have to handle the logic, database interactions, user authentication, configuration, etc. You will provide solutions with emerging technologies and provide strategic, innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions to increase the efficiency, reliability and integration of Schlumberger services and operations. This person works semi-autonomously as part of a team that performs rapid prototyping of emerging technologies to solve industry-related problems. These solutions ambition to revolutionize the monitoring of the well construction process by leveraging cloud and edge technologies.

We are looking for talented individuals with a serious commitment to software development and strong interest in latest technologies in machine learning and real-time simulation.

Qualifications:

Master's in Computer Science (recently graduated or experiented)

Fluent in English is a pre-requisite

Competencies:
  • Programming languages .Net, C#, JavaScript
  • Knowledge of distributed architecture and exchange protocols
  • Knowledge of industry development environments and frameworks: Angular, Node.js, Qt is a plus
  • Product development & build process & tools: Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code, Google Test, Git, Azure DevOps
  • Windows and Linux
  • Review and design methods
  • Aware of software quality
  • Software estimation
  • Quality management
  • Agile and iterative development
  • Process implementation and improvement
