Role Summary:

This position is a key component of the US Pre-Commissioning & Maintenance (P&M) sales team. The Lead Sales Specialist will work with external clients to achieve revenue targets while meeting profit expectations of the business.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role Lead Sales Specialist - Pipeline Services, you will:
  • Report to the US Sales Leader (PPS-P&M)
  • Promote and sell P&M Pipeline Services in a structured, planned manner to increase existing market share and establish new customer(s)
  • Establish & maintain professional client relationships
  • Forecast client revenue and profit
  • Generate customer inquiries & coordinate tenders / contracts / credit verification, ensuring compliance with BAKER HUGHES's policies
  • Coordinate with other departments, etc., to optimize efforts and minimize costs
  • Ensures the full awareness of and compliance with, the requirement of all relevant company / customer HSE handbooks, HSE and emergency procedures
  • Prepares for approval and action of sales plans, sales visits, technical papers and strategies

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 3 years of Oil & Gas Pipeline Infrastructure experience in a Sales and/or Operations position

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Travel 50% of the time within the US market, as required
  • To the extent that you are applying for a position that requires you to operate a BAKER HUGHES owned / leased or rented vehicle for company business, you must be willing to submit to a check of your driving record

Desired Characteristics:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Oil and gas industry knowledge
  • Experience with compression equipment, pumping equipment, piping systems, and engineering drawings
  • Past experience selling to Owner/Operator(s) in the US downstream marketplace
  • Experience in a construction environment
  • Appreciation of business commercial drivers
  • Must have a thorough technical understanding of Pipeline Services. Nitrogen, Air, chemical cleaning and Oil flushing services
  • Must have a sound commercial understanding & the ability to prospect new opportunities
  • Must be a good team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Must be flexible, highly self-motivated & proactive
  • Must be computer literate with MS Office software and CRM applications
