Vida Energy are working in partnership with the largest oil company in Saudi Arabia and are currently recruiting for a number of Mechanical Workshop Supervisors The roles will be on a 12 month fixed contract based in the Kingdom. This is a contract role in Saudi Arabia.

The requirement for the role is urgent, the company are will to hold telephone/skype interviews with the possibility of a direct hire from there. 

To be considered for the role you MUST meet the following;

  • 3 year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or 8 year Diploma Mechanical Technician
  • 2 years expereince in Refinery Mechanical maintenance in oil and gas industries. At least 1 year in a similar position

Duties of the role include but are not limited to;

  • 1.   To lead, supervise and coordinate the day to-day activities of mechanical maintenance on all rotating equipment within the designated area of responsibility.  Focal point of maintenance Contractor for daily maintenance execution plan.

    2.   Ensure the application of SATORP's Safety and Quality procedures during the execution of rotating equipment's maintenance activities.

    3.   Conduct frequent site visits to ensure proper execution of work and check on the activities of direct hired and contacted technicians engaged in routine maintenance activities.

    4.   Coordinate with the Mechanical Workshop team to ensure that repairing of rotating assets, are carried out in timely and quality manner that helps increase the availability and reliability of these equipment.

    5.   Ensure that Preventive Maintenance plans prepared by Methods Reliability team for all rotating equipment in his designated area are carried out as per schedule and plan.

    6.   Lead subordinates and contractor employees.

    7.   Receive work directions from the respective Area Maintenance Leader in relation to mechanical maintenance orders/requests and follow-up with the maintenance technicians to ensure translating these directions into actions.

    8.   Follow-up on mechanical maintenance work progress in SAP PM and submit regular progress report's with recommendations to his respective Area Maintenance Leader.  Keep records of daily maintenance works against SAP PM planned maintenance programs and prepare work completion reports in order to close SAP PM Notifications, where applicable.

    9.   Work closely with Operations Area Supervisor, Area Maintenance Leader and Methods Reliability Engineers in recommending and implementing changes aimed at improving the availability and reliability of rotating and metal mechanical equipment within the designated area of responsibility.

    10. Assist in implementing engineering modifications and enhancements to mechanical equipment by making recommendations to increase their suitability and serviceability.

    11. Ensure that assigned contractor personnel have all needed resources and tools to conduct routine maintenance activities effectively and according to the contract terms and conditions.

    12. Enforce SATORP's policies, procedures and regulations and ensure that all safety measures and precautions are strictly considered and taken care of during conducting onsite maintenance works.

    13. Assist in preparing cost estimates, purchase orders and maintenance plans and schedules for mechanical maintenance activities in coordination with the concerned personnel in maintenance logistics section.

    14. Perform other related duties as assigned by the respective Area Maintenance Leader.
