Job Summary:

The Production Manager is responsible and accountable for all non-drilling related activities on Beta's offshore facilities (Elly, Ellen and Eureka platforms) and functionally responsible for all engineering project related activities. The Production Manager is responsible for supervising facility operations, maintenance, and production management. This includes the safety of all personnel on the facilities, management of budgets, and financial forecasts for platform operations.

Essential Functions:

1. Provide leadership, direction and oversight for all production operations, facility and equipment maintenance to ensure that all operations are functioning in compliance with established procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

2. Identify and execute on opportunities to raise production, lower costs, and/or increase the efficiency of operations.

3. Monitor daily performance and collaborate closely with other departments (HSE, HR, Engineering, Pipeline, etc.) to optimize operational processes and achieve safety and financial expectations. Ensure that all inspections, audits and required reports are thorough and complete.

4. Review daily activities and analyze data relating to operational activities, including production, well bay operations, and facility and maintenance activities. Validate outgoing operational reports accurate and adequately descriptive.

5. Monitor and control LOE budgets and forecasts for production operations, including review and approval of purchase orders and invoices, develop and track budgets, provide periodic forecasts of expenditures, and prepare financial performance analyses.

6. Participate, as needed, in company-level reviews and operations status meetings, which may include preparation and presentation of materials.


Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:

  • High school graduate or equivalent

Minimum Experience required:

  • 10 years of offshore production operations experience and a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory position.


Skills Required:

(1)The individual in this position must be able to demonstrate a thorough technical knowledge of offshore production processes and understand the various well bay and facility functions, (2) should possess a working knowledge of the control room systems, (3) must possess a level of interpersonal skills to interact effectively with vendor support and offshore personnel as well as regulating agency representatives, (4) must possess the management skills to execute tasks by direction and delegation, (5) must communicate effectively, (6) must demonstrate leadership and team-building ability, (7) must be able to effectively use all pertinent office technology including MS Office suite of products.
