Our client is a leading company in the design and supply of Direct Fired Heaters, Waste Heat Recovery Units. Based in West Sussex who are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer on a staff basis.

The role:
As an integral member of the UK QA/QC Department, the Engineer will directly report to the Quality Manager. The role is to primarily ensure that quality standards are maintained and to support the execution of all aspects of multi-discipline engineering for £multi-million contracts which need to be completed on time and within budget.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidates with a Quality Control background within a fabrication department are preferred, particularly structural steel, piping (pressure) fabrication.
- Qualifications to HNC/Degree level in a mechanical engineering discipline is preferred however candidates with a strong background within a technical environment will be considered.
- Experience of the following is an advantage: o Conducting and commenting on audits (internal and external).
- PED 2014/68/EU (BIH are module H/H1 certified)
- CPR 305/2011/EU, EN1090-1, 2 (BIH are Exc3 certified)
- ISO14001 and ISO45001 (OHSAS18001).
- Practical experience of welding, welding processes and inspection.
- Producing and working with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Working within an ISO9001 company and systems, including control and resolutions of NCRs from product, audits and clients.
- Collation of fabrication dossiers and their review
- Chairing meetings with clients etc e.g. at Pre-inspection Meetings
- Review of NDE procedures (RT, MT, PT) against national standards and project specifications
