Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company is currently hiring an Artificial Lift Services Instructor for based in Tomball, Texas.

Responsible for technical training, career progression review of field grade personnel in the respective product line. Responsible for the implementation and adoption of the competence program, audit and adherence to policies within their respective Product line.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • High frequency of travel is required, 40% to all countries in assigned region
  • Provide instructional training for Electrical Submersible Pump, Horizontal Pump, Variable Speed Drive, Lufkin Automation, Progressive Cavity Pump, Downhole sensors; installation, troubleshooting, and field location assessments
  • Advanced ESP completion equipment, ie. Y-tools, PODS, CAN, Transcoil, DST installation and troubleshooting
  • Lead Applications and Reliability instructional training for Electrical Submersible Pump, Horizontal Pump, Progressive Cavity Pump, Gas Lift, Rod Lift systems; application engineering, troubleshooting, and field location assessments
  • Proficient with Artificial Lift design applications, ie, Solutions, AutographPC, Subpump, SROD, CFer PC-pump
  • Project manage content and course development to adult learning methodologies
  • Course structuring, design and custodian of assigned courses
  • Conduct training in Countries of assigned Region
  • Manage the product line competency review process within region
  • Monitor and track all progress and quality of the field and region reviews (review and approve)
  • Manage new and experience hires for role readiness to assigned region
  • Manage implementation and adoption of the assessment process (identification of assessors, training and process support)
  • Manage field mentor program (identification, training and process support)
  • Monitor employee participation and adherence to training schedules
  • Communicate technical and non-technical training gaps for the LEAD Program
  • Participates as needed in the talent acquisition activities to achieve goals of the product line regions
  • Ensure standards are consistently applied for competency/ skill development in target population.
  • Ensure specified job progression targets are met within the required timeframes.
  • Ensure on-the-job training standards are monitored and consistent across the product line.
  • Identify on-the-job training opportunities and facilitate the process of rotational assignments as appropriate for development.
  • Promote HS&E behaviors and standards in all developmental activities
  • Utilize the product segment competency maps to facilitate employee progression through LEAD/ASPIRE
  • Support the retention strategy for the product line
  • Share best practices among HR/Employee Development community
  • Manage special projects as assigned

  • Bachelor's Degree in a science or engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • 7+ years of industry experience in designated product line
  • Deep domain experience of OJT assessment and technical training
