Targa Resources is seeking a Lead Contracts Analyst for their office located in Houston, Texas.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare agreements, amendments, terminations and contractual notices as appropriate
  • Accurately draft and analyze complex commercial contracts for Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs), Natural Gas Midstream and Downstream services.
  • Communicate and work closely with Legal, Commercial Reps, Credit and other corporate stakeholders to facilitate contract negotiation and execution
  • Notify Commercial Reps of upcoming critical dates in the contracts
  • Log and track documents for execution
  • Prepare contract briefs for update and capture in Contract Management System
  • Forward documents for timely filing and scanning
  • Adhoc projects as assigned by Management/Senior Management


MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:


  • College Degree or Paralegal Certificate
  • Results driven, takes initiative, accountable and responsible, can work independently and within/across teams
  • Must be able to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with different levels AND remain calm in high pressure situations
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have an aptitude with various systems including the ability to easily learn new software
  • Able to work efficiently in an open work area
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in Natural Gas Midstream and/or Downstream Contract Administration with demonstrated knowledge of contract terms and contracting structures
  • Familiarity with purchase/sale, exchanges, transportation, storage and service agreements common to the NGLs and Natural Gas marketing/trading industry


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Prior experience with RightaNGLe
  • Prior experience managing records and contract briefs in a Contract Management System
