NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas Industry. Our client, a large Oil and Gas operator, is currently seeking a Data Analyst and Systems Support for a contract role in Calgary. The individual must be local or have their own accommodations, as no LOA is given. The shift is Monday-Friday.

 

  • Key Accountabilities 
    • Analyze data identified by the team lead  
    • Responsible to update and maintain current weekly/monthly reports as identified by the team lead
    • The candidate will be assisting in reporting and data analysis for the purpose of identifying maintenance reliability down trends, these candidates will also be asked to create presentations of the data found. The will be required to collaborate with the current staff during regular working hours and will be trained and directed on assignments daily/weekly.
    • The Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining systems which host critical data from applications used by engineers and mine personnel. She/He will also design and implement data reporting solutions to fulfill the needs of multi-disciplinary stakeholders.
    • These positions will require training in Fort McMurray for a period of 2 weeks, will require network access and hardware (computer) to complete tasks. Once trained these positions can be accessed from outside the region. Pulse checks will be set in place to host face to face meetings as required by the team lead.
    • The engineers will be at site they will travel the bus from the various pick up/drop offs locations in town. They will be housed at SBMC or Shovel pad in Oil Sands which we will facilitate.                                                                                                                                     
  • Required Qualifications
    • Any of the following qualifications would be advantageous:
      • Bachelors of Computer Science
      • Bachelors of Software Engineering
      • Bachelors of Electrical Engineering
      • College Diploma in Information Technology
      • Experience in investigation data reviews would be an asset
 

  • Experience and Education
  • Proficiency in Visual Studio, SQL Server Reporting  Services , SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Server Integration Services
  • Experience administrating virtual servers using VSphere software
  • Experience managing windows servers
  • Knowledge of programming languages including SQL, C# and PowerShell
  • Experience administrating production and test databases
  • Knowledge in SAP
  • Mobile equipment experience would be an asset
  • Previous analytics background using
  • Ability to collaborate
