JOB SCOPE: Fusing of metals to produce specific products and provide support to services operations. Perform welding operations on parts produced by Weatherford that conform to engineering prints or customers' specifications in a timely and proficient manner.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (not listed in any particular order)

Know and understand Weatherford's Enterprise Excellence Program and the Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.

Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

Weld metal components together to fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders, using GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and GTAW.

Perform related tasks, such as thermal cutting, grinding, and cleaning.

Repair broken or cracked parts and fills holes.

Clean, position, clamp, and tack weld components in preparation for welding.

Properly retrieve, use, and store PPE, welding consumables, and tools.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.


Skills & Knowledge:

Proficient communication skills

Must be able to follow procedures without deviation

Must be able to read and interpret drawings

Must be able to weld multiple processes

Must have Tig welding experience (GTAW)

Must be able to work well alone and in team settings

Must have pipe welding experience

3-5 years pipe welding experience

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.


Pipe fitting experience

Gas Lift experience

5-7 years pipe welding experience

Experience welding ferrous and nonferrous alloys
