Position Description:
We are seeking an International Media Coordinator to join the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra).

Ithra is located in an iconic landmark building, designed to be a beacon for knowledge to illuminate, inspire and catalyze the potential of the Kingdom's vast talent pool. Ithra is an all-purpose cultural destination, an environment for transformative experiences to unlock the power of potential through mastery in arts, science, literature and innovation. Facilities include an idea lab, library, theater, museum, energy exhibit, art gallery, children's museum, and a knowledge tower housed under one roof, to provide visitors with an immersive and transformative experience.

In your primary role you will be responsible for building, maintaining and leveraging relationships with international media, including: print, broadcast, online and freelance outlets and publications. You will be expected to build an international media database relevant to Ithra's operations, initiatives, marketing objectives and events, with the overall goal to position the Center internationally.

Minimum Requirements:
As a successful candidate you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, International Media, or a related field.

You will have at least 10 years of experience in media relations, journalism, or a related field.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in public relations writing is a must, with a strong network of international media contacts in print and broadcast preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Develop and build positive relationships with regional and international media and industry partners in key markets.
Be responsible for selection and rationale of targeted media personnel tailored to each individual Ithra event.
Build and maintain a media database with categories based on outlets, geographic locations, key areas of interest, contact details, etc.
Organize and coordinate media familiarization trips and onsite media management.
Monitor editorial calendars and target publications to identify coverage opportunities.
Generate and tailor media content and collaterals for international audiences or as per international media requirements, to facilitate Ithra's international positioning.
