Job Description

  • Perform tasks as requested / directed by Project Director / Construction Manager and assist on and off site meetings pertaining to technical issues for Structural discipline
  • Help to identify and look for opportunities in improving efficiency, reducing costs and improving progress
  • Communicate with site team and liaise with client on matters related to project requirement for Structural discipline
  • Take lead in resolving site queries and workout for solution with construction and engineering team for Structural discipline
  • Prepare minutes, follow up actions and generate project weekly and monthly project reports
  • Administer and coordinate site activities for Structural discipline and ensure all assigned tasks are completed timely
  • Check materials shortage for Structural discipline and expedite on the delivery to meet the production schedule
  • Assist Construction Manager to resolve technical issues related to project requirement for Structural discipline
  • Draft project KPIs / program in consultation with discipline leads and planner, as well monitor that project is in line with those programs
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality assurance and procedures
  • Take lead and coordinate with discipline lead on ITR / Punch clearance on subsystem as prioritized by commissioning for mechanical completion
  • Prepare method statement / Technical Queries as required and get approval from client for smooth flow of construction activities for Structural discipline
  • Manage offshore marine spread movement, track/update PIMS for outstanding punch items and expedite material delivery as required for start-up activities for Structural discipline

 

Requirement

  • Degree in Engineering or its equivalent
  • Min. 5 years of work experience in similar capacity and industry
  • Understand offshore knowledge and related commercial matters
  • Good knowledge of standards and class requirement on various works in offshore industry
  • Good knowledge of structural steel fabrication, structural material grades and basic structural configurations
  • Good understanding of heavy lifting and PDMS design for simulation purposes
  • Good knowledge of safety standards and class requirements for various works in offshore industry
  • Good knowledge of project management and other planning software
  • Good degree of planning, organization, control, problem solving, decision making, interpersonal, communication and people management skills
  • Able to work under stress environment and within tight deadlines
