Position Overview: Coordinates and implements outside trucking sales activities for Midstream Services, with the specific charge of promoting third party trucking volumes into Basic Midstream Services SWD's. Familiar with and able to sell across specific Regions, including either Permian/Midland Basin, or ArkLaTex.
Reports to: Regional SWD Managers (local)
Directs Reports: None
- Develops and executes quantitative sales plans and strategies as necessary to bring incremental saltwater volumes into Basic Midstream SWD's
- Works territory as assigned by regional manager
- Maintains professional contact with customers will include daily face-to-face sales calls, both in field and in offices.
- In conjunction with management, produces sales bids and conducts negotiations regarding sales activities
- Communicates daily with management team
- Stay abreast of competitor's activities and pricing through review of information from the field or other sources
- Works directly with other sales representatives
- Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned, including written/electronic weekly sales and contact reports
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
- Knowledge of pipeline and water services being sold
- Proven sales record
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Valid driver's license
- Strong critical thinking, negotiating, and problem-solving skills
- 2+ years of college
- 3+ years sales experience in the pipeline and/or Oil & Gas industry
- Long periods of sitting and standing may be necessary
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to extreme weather conditions
- Climbing and walking daily
- Driving daily to various locations
Typical working conditions and hazards:
- Work is typically performed inside but can periodically be a Sales Representative may periodically be exposed to all weather conditions
- Able to perform duties with protective equipment, H2S respirator where required
- Potential hazards may include working near heavy tools and moving machinery
- Potential exposure to loud noises, airborne toxins, solvents, flammable atmospheres and industrial chemicals
- This is a non-safety sensitive position.
