Our client, one of the largest LNG producers in the world are looking to recruit a Geology Specialist to come work in Qatar.
Responsible for performance of geological and geophysical activities associated with Active field development and reservoir surveillance. These activities include new well and workover planning, well path optimization, recommending and planning wellbore seismic acquisition, selection and supervision of contract geoscience support personnel, on-site supervision and QC of offshore and onshore drilling rig geoscience related activities (such as mudlogging, wireline logging, coring, casing seat hunts, wellbore seismic acquisition, etc.), analysis of new data, revision of geologic interpretations incorporating new data, maintenance of geological databases, and planning and executing geotechnical and geophysical site surveys.
Additionally provides support for tendering activities for contract geosciences services such as Mud Logging, Wellsite Geologists, Coring, Geotechnical and Shallow Hazard Surveys, Surveys QA/QCs, etc. Should possess expert level technical expertise in operations geology, and provide an effective technical interface with other subsurface technical departments. He/She demonstrates depth, breadth and high quality technical work and is mentor and role model in Operations Geoscience.
Minimum of 15 years working experience as Reservoir/Production Geologist
Minimum of 5 years working experience in Carbonate reservoir
Good command in sequence stratigraphy concept (including well correlation) and its processes
Good understanding of carbonate reservoir characterization, specifically
