CYLINDER TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities and Authorities

 

  • To perform the duties of the position according to documented Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • To be aware of Quality Assurance in all daily work activities and to follow the rules of prevention.
  • To report all non-conformances and problems to your Supervisor on a Non-conformance And Corrective Action Report.
  • To not accept non-conformance and poor workmanship from fellow employees and your direct supplier.
  • To be aware of relevant Company Safety Requirements and to perform all duties in accordance with these requirements.
  • To be aware of relevant Company Environmental Requirements and to perform duties in accordance with these requirements.
  • To stop or attempt to stop any recognised unsafe or environmentally irresponsible practice.


Qualifications

 

 

  • Current driving licence (preferred).
  • Possess a current forklift licence.
  • 4 Standard Grades (inc. Math & English)


Main Duties

 

 

  • Booking in and dispatching of samples accordance with documented procedures.
  • Cleaning and maintaining cylinders for laboratory and offshore use.
  • To perform sample transfers as required.
  • To respect and protect company and client confidentiality at all times.
  • To fully complete all worksheets, data forms, records and administrative records, calibration and maintenance documentation, time sheets and service documents legibly, and to distribute or file these in the appropriate location.
  • Performs other duties as and when required.
