Wireline and Drilling&Measurements segments provide oilfield services to their clients using a common acquisition software (Maxwell). Every new tool developed has to have a dedicated acquisition and computation application running within Maxwell framework.
The team in charge to maintain existing desktop applications, to make them evolve and also to develop new applications for every new hardware tool developed.
All of these software developments must respect a given level of software quality measured by our continuous integration system such as good level of micro-test coverage, reduced volume of code duplication, reduced level of cyclomatic code complexity.
Essential Responsiblities and Duties:
The Maxwell software engineer will be in charge of the design, the implementation and the maintenance of operational workflows for new and existing desktop applications integrated in the overall Maxwell framework, while respecting the predefined quality release criteria.
- Methodologies: TDD, Agile, Design Patterns, micro-services
- Technologies: COM, .NET, visual studio, SQL server, VSTS, GiT, TestComplete
- Languages: C++, C#, SQL, Python
- Environment: Windows, Visual Studio, GoogleTest
- Additional competencies:
- Notions of real-time data and control systems (time synchronization, control loops, ...)
- Awareness of appropriate industry standards and regulations (electrical, explosive, HSE...)
- Notions of telemetry communication, physics of sensors
