Role Summary:

The Global Process Improvement Leader will be responsible for Process standardization and Process development projects that transform the International logistics and Customs organization, increase the expertise of BAKER HUGHES employees, align and support the BAKER HUGHES Global International Trade Compliance program and strengthen relationships with external strategic partners.

Essential Responsibilities:

Communication of progress for both tactical & strategic actions to all levels of the organization should come naturally.

In the role of Global Process Improvement Leader, you will:
  • Champion the creation of Customs and Logistics standardized processes for consistent, predictable and productive execution
  • Partner with other team members in the design and development of process documentation, training materials and tools in support of newly created or optimized operational processes
  • Collaborate with internal partners to gather, research and review processes
  • Effectively engage subject matter experts from the business function and translate their needs to solutions with high impact to the business and our customers
  • Work in close collaboration with International Trade Compliance (ITC) to ensure adequate integration of compliance concepts and requirements in Customs and Logistics processes
  • Ensure stakeholders visibility and accountability to controlled documentation of standardized processes
  • Define and maintain procedures to ensure process changes are controlled, validated and approved. Ensure process content integrity and maintenance through periodic updates and revisions
  • Demonstrate proven team leadership skills and the ability to influence others at all levels of the organization
  • Organize and facilitate training to the Product Companies and Regional Leaders on processes involving logistics, customs, trade compliance and trade management
  • Ensure consistent training record keeping in the designated repository tool
  • Engage with other functions to understand how decisions will impact the logistics supply chain and vice-versa. Be responsible for delivering processes that are fully integrated between functions
  • Support alignment of business projects & processes with overall organizational priorities
  • Serve as a Change Agent to drive process adoption across functions and the global organization. Must be able to energize teams at all levels of the organization and effectively balance multiple initiatives
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPI) and design a methodology to measure and analyze process and task performance
  • Monitor, trend and report process efficiency and operational adherence, work with users on corrective actions and initiate escalation processes in case of constant deviations
  • Work with the Digital Technology (DT) team in the design and development of a process repository for controlled documentation storage and multi-functional access

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance or Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Distribution or International Business from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics and customs and /or with global supply chain functions & initiatives

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Travel 15% of the time, as required

Desired Characteristics:
  • APICS CPIM or CLTD certification
  • Membership in professional organizations, trade or user groups, and a pattern of regular attendance at industry conferences
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team-based global environment
  • Experience working in the oil & gas industry
  • Experience hands-on information gathering, analysis and management reporting
