We are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineering Graduate to join our Engineering team in Aberdeen to ensure the on time delivery of Engineering outputs that provide solutions to our customers in accordance with their stated requirements, relevant standards or guidelines, and Hydrasun's HSEQ processes and procedures.

Essential Qualifications/Experience/Competencies

  • Degree in Engineering discipline (Mechanical bias)
  • Carrying out engineering calculations. e.g. stress, strain, load, bending etc.
  • 3D drawing software
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment with changing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisational and administration skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional and focused approach at all times, in particular in customer facing situations
  • • Keen to develop personal knowledge and skills

Desirable Qualifications/Experience/Competencies

  • Working within an engineering environment
  • Engineering codes and standards
  • Innovation process development
  • Active participation in engineering reviews and/or investigations with customers
  • PED
  • Experience with Flexible hoses / subsea Electro / hydraulic umbilicals.
  • Knowledge of materials and processes used within offshore oil and gas operations

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Technical Duties

  • Participate in the technical development, qualification and manufacturing activities of Umbilical Products and related fluid transfer solutions
  • Deliver safe, economic, engineered solutions, considering all aspects from feasibility studies through to commissioning, that maximises ROI/ profitably for Hydrasun whilst satisfying all customer and internal requirements
  • Liaise with customers to establish (through negotiation where appropriate) and advise on their technical specifications and requirements taking into consideration the specifics of their application, industry standards, guidelines, best practice and any other relevant information
  • Liaise with the Engineering Team and wider Organisation to ensure effective communication, leading to clarity of understanding and purpose in all activities
  • Ensure full compliance, during all engineering and related activities, with regard to sound engineering practice and adherence to relevant internal and external procedures, guidelines and standards
  • Liaise with suppliers on technical and engineering matters
  • Complete engineering drawings for project assemblies and detailed parts for manufacture.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Carry out all the relevant administrative duties including participation in management reports and audits
  • Administration of the Engineering Helpdesk software
  • Keep any filing/admin/databases up to date
