This position is responsible for reporting to management with respect to Targa Resources asset management program. This person must be detail oriented, and possess excellent communication skills, both the verbal and written. This individual must work well with others at various levels of the organization. The ideal candidate must also be able to think and work independently, bringing potential solutions along with issues discovered, and the candidate must possess the ability to build simple queries/reports arising out of impromptu requests.

  • Project Costing & Fixed Asset to GL reconciliation. Responsibility will reside with this individual to ensure that subledger stays in balance with the General Ledger each month.
  • Interact with the Tax department and provide support as needed
  • Prepare and record monthly journal entries before close deadline
  • Prepare CAPEX Reports
  • Prepare Project and OPEX billings to JV partners
  • Prepare account reconciliations
  • Prepare OFC journal entries for fixed asset close and depreciation monthly
  • Prepare HFM journal entries monthly
  • Prepare FERC Form 6 filings quarterly
  • Prepare Railroad commission Gas Utility Tax entries quarterly
  • Prepare annual Railroad commission filings
  • Prepare tax books load file based on Tax Department's analysis
  • Special assignment on request by management

  • 3-7 years of Accounting experience, preferably with an energy company. Property or Fixed Asset Department a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must possess the skill set to think creatively and recognize patterns

  • CPA or CPA eligible
  • Oracle and HFM experience
