The analytical roles that support our trading teams are comprised primarily of Commercial Analysts (CAs) and Business Analysts (BAs). CAs conduct market analysis to provide commercial insight to trading activities, while BAs conduct analysis within Chevron to monitor organizational performance and develop business plans.
Your role will support the Products Supply and Trading (PSAT) organization. PSAT manages global supply, trading and logistics for a wide range of products, including feedstocks, fuels, and refined products like gasoline, naphtha, diesel, jet fuel, heavy fuels, biofuels, coke, sulfur, ammonia and asphalt, and other products for the manufacturing and marketing network.
Key job responsibilities:
- Analyze earnings, exposure and mark to market (MTM) to explain and report business performance
- Work closely with team members in trading, operations, accounting, risk control and other global trading offices to manage and analyze commodity earnings and exposure
- Support the development of the business plan and Business Managers with internal analysis
- Partner with other Chevron organizations and/or departments to identify and facilitate analytical process improvements
- Join multi-functional project teams on new business and process initiatives
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 5 years of analytical experience in the energy, manufacturing, transportation, finance, medical or information technology industry
- Experience using Openlink Rightangle
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team player and ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills

- Passion to grow in the trading organization
- Business or Finance degree
- Trading organization experience
- Knowledge of gas, crude and/or refined product commodities
