Role Summary/Purpose:

The Lead Materials Planning Execution Specialist role will work closely with cross-functional team members to ensure timely delivery of products/services for the assigned products/projects. Ideal candidate will be fluent in SAP and will initiate purchase orders, ensure prompt receipt and ensure allocation of material to production.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • In the role of Lead Materials Planning Execution Specialist, you will:
  • Create purchase orders to internal supplier based on demand
    Ensure purchase orders to internal supplier is booked correctly (including project number, correct pricing, correct part number (no undefined), and correct dates)
  • Utilize Tableau tools to identify opportunities to relieve excess inventory from one org and improve on time delivery in another org (Dual Deplete)
  • Request cancelations from internal supplier based on demand changes
  • Request feedback from internal supplier on status and update purchase orders and stakeholders accordingly
  • Share priorities with internal supplier for shop and spare parts to ensure critical needs are met
  • Monitor aging with internal supplier including planned orders, requisitions, on hand and packed material
  • Monitor inbound shipments and work with BHGE Customs team to ensure there are no delays in customs clearance
  • Complete necessary steps to resolve issues related to non-conforming material received from internal supplier
  • Work to analyze and resolve any IBS rejects related to direct material ordered from internal supplier
  • Identify opportunities to improve intracompany purchase order process and collaborate cross-functionally to make positive changes
  • Coordinate and execute scheduling activities using advanced planning system
  • Ensure that the shop has the necessary materials to meet required manufacturing / production levels
  • Coordinate input on material shortages, farm out, and delivery of materials
  • Identify and react to material plans that do not meet customer requirements
  • Provide effective scheduling and implementation of all programs based on the Master Schedule, cycle time, shop capacity, and status to schedules
  • Monitor supply and demand misalignment with manufacturing sources to implement corrective action plans
  • Act as a focal point and monitor assigned areas to ensure delivery dates meet production needs
  • Coordinate the efforts of cross functional groups and across shifts to resolve parts shortages, and shop capacity
  • Work with shop management to develop delivery commitments
  • Ensure timely shipments to all customers and prepare and implement work orders and plans as required
  • Interface with engineering, purchasing, project management, operations, and other GE organizations as required
  • Analyze and measure the current production status and identify problem areas that inhibit full schedule realization
  • Analyze data to determine opportunities to decrease inventory, improve customer service levels and reduce total costs


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma from an accredited school or institution and minimum 7 years of experience in scheduling, planning, or manufacturing)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in scheduling, planning, or manufacturing
