My client is a R&D focused firm focused around the engineering and design of innovative downhole tools and technology. They are seeking a high caliber embedded engineer to come on board to be an individual contributor and ultimately move into a managing role. Please see below for responsibilities and requirements.

  • Lead firmware design, development, sustaining and maintenance efforts for various projects
  • Collaborate with Hardware and Software engineers throughout project, from concept to integration and delivery
  • Assist with electrical designs of drivers and controllers
  • Daily use of applied mathematics (i.e. simulation, control theory, etc.)
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Degreed professional in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
  • 2 plus years of embedded firmware/software experience
  • Experience programming in C/C++ and Python
  • Experience with microcontrollers, such as TI, PIC, etc.
  • Experience with RTOS would be a plus
  • Experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) would be a plus
  • This role would be an office-based role in Houston, TX
