Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Decision Analysis Advisor, in its EEME upstream business located in Central London through 26th August 2019 at 11:59 p.m. This role supports the individual EEME business units as well as the EEME HQ group.

Role Accountabilities and Deliverables
  • Develop the skills, experience and support network to replace the current Europe, Eurasia and Middle East (EEME) Decision Analysis (DA) Support Coordinator
  • Expand consulting skills and facilitation skills to provide guidance in the application of Decision Analysis processes to support high quality decision making in EEME and EEME Strategic Business Units
  • Review project frames and provide input to improve project frames
  • Review DA models, understand fiscal terms and provide peer assistance to improve results
  • Review and provide guidance on analysis methods and results to improve analysis and messaging
  • Provide support for exploration prospects, subsurface basis of design and tax summaries submissions (GO-36), business planning and small project lookbacks
  • Understand and support EEME specific requirements for consistency of evaluations and reporting
  • Check that recommended practices have been followed and are consistent with investment analysis manual, GO-36 guidelines and business plan submission requirements
  • Help steward application of minimum functional objectives throughout EEME
  • Aid in Decision Analysis training at EEME operating company and strategic business unit locations

Expertise / Skills Sought
  • A Bachelor of Science in a petro-technical field
  • 10 years of oil industry DA experience
  • Motivated, critical thinker with commitment to long term improvement of decision quality within EEME
  • Broad Upstream Technical experience in one of the petro-technical disciplines, preferably Earth Science or Facilities Engineering
  • Experience in technical aspects of exploration, appraisal and development, including major capital projects
  • Understands risks and uncertainty, and effectively interacts with technical and business development Subject Matter Experts
  • Able to evaluate and ensure adequate control
  • Extensive experience using Excel
  • Builds, maintains and leverages positive, collaborative relationships. Proven ability to work independently and as a member of diverse and dispersed teams
  • Capable of coaching and coaching others to improve their skills
  • Sensitive to cultural differences
  • Able to work with challenging timelines, manage priorities when handling multiple projects simultaneously, and work in confidential team environment
  • Clearly, concisely and effectively communicates complex information to diverse audiences and management levels, both in writing and verbally
  • Demonstrate effective facilitation of a team to achieve objectives, especially in difficult situations
