The Health Operations Manager is a key role for Shell Australia based in Brisbane. In this position you will be responsible for performing or coordinating occupational health services and wellness initiatives to Shell staff.

Some of the key deliverables and responsibilities of this role are:
  • Perform or coordinate Fitness to Work (FTW), Medical Surveillance (MS), injury management, rehabilitation and return to work, drug & alcohol testing, travel & transfer Medicals, ergonomics and medical emergency response preparedness.
  • Health Centre Management, including maintaining medical record and using electronic tracking tools and databases to monitor compliance with Occupational Health Service Delivery.
  • Support for site-based (Surat Region and Curtis Island) workers that require assistance with issues unable to be managed or resolved by on-site provider.
  • Develop, plan, implement and evaluate wellness and human performance & care programs for Shell sites in Australia.

Requirements

The candidate we are therefore seeking for this position, will have/be:
  • Undergraduate degree in nursing (or qualified division 1 nurse).
  • Registered with AHPRA as a nurse with no conditions, reprimands or undertakings.
  • Demonstrated experience in occupational health nursing, preferably in the resources or construction industry.
  • Experience in implementing wellness and health promotions programs.
  • Accredited training or certification in drug and alcohol testing is required.
  • Accredited training or certification in worker's compensation return to work course is required.
  • Accredited training or certification in spirometry and audiometry training is desirable.
  • Certificate in Occupational Health Nursing, Occupational Health and Safety, Health Promotion or Public Health is desirable.
