The Senior Field Service Technician will be responsible for operating and managing the completion of field service on companies fleet of CHP systems. The Field Service Technician will operate and maintain electrical power generation equipment (natural gas powered engines) along with the equipment used in connection with these engines to provide heat and power to our customers. Some of this equipment includes paralleling gear, relays, breakers, pumps, chillers, and cooling towers. The Field Service Technician shall routinely use manuals, procedures, wiring diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot CHP systems on site. Common preventive maintenance items will include engine oil sampling, engine oil changes, air filter changes, and spark plug changes. Unscheduled maintenance will include troubleshooting air/fuel ratio, exhaust gas temperature, pump, valve, and chiller proper operation. At times, the technician will be required to use analytical skills to troubleshoot a system when procedures are not yet in place. To that end, the technician will require strong electrical and mechanical skills to cover the array of equipment at our customer sites.
