Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company is currently hiring a Drilling Services City Sales role based in Houston, Texas

This role will be to sell products and services to new and existing customers as part of the Equipment Sales and Rental team for North America.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Regularly scheduled visits to customer offices and locations
  • Cold calling new customers
  • Consistent communication with field operations
  • Respond to customer calls/concerns as required and/or requested on a 24/7 basis
  • Identifying customer problems, offering solutions, and responding to customer needs
  • Ordering equipment and coordinating deliveries
  • Tracking equipment usage, creating invoices, delivering to customer
  • Timely and regular reporting of site visits though company CRM system
  • KPI reporting as required internally and externally
  • Regular meetings with customer's field, office, engineering, and management as required
  • Engagement of technical services as required and coordinating of those activities
  • Assist in the development of sales strategies for North America Equipment Sales and Rentals
  • Develop strong business relationships based on service and product performance
  • Travel

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 3+ years in a customer interfacing position
  • Clean driving record
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work with customers of all levels (C-suite to field)
  • Fast learner, outgoing, hard working

Desired Characteristics:
  • 3+ years Oilfield experience, preferably in a drilling environment
  • Strong knowledge of drilling motors, components, and applications
  • Experience with CRM reporting systems
  • Previous business to business sales experience and expertise
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Ability to coach others
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Excellent communication skills
