Role Summary:

This Global Commodity Manager is responsible to define, lead and execute strategy for the Raw material commodities of the Oilfield Equipment business with focus on Subsea Production Systems & Services and Flexible Pipe Systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Define and manage a strategy for Raw material commodities in scope and implement that strategy by partnering with all internal stakeholders
  • Drive Sourcing deflation savings through cost-out initiatives and initiatives with suppliers
  • Identify and independently lead qualifications of new suppliers with Engineering and Quality
  • Increase best cost country (BCC) buy through development of global supply base opportunities
  • Implement long-term agreements (LTAs) and strategic sourcing agreements (SSAs) through negotiations with preferred & strategic suppliers
  • Measure contract leakage of procurement POs vs. key LTAs and SSAs on in-scope commodities
  • Increase supplier payment terms and partner with suppliers on participation in discounted payterm programs
  • Manage and collaborate on product cost out proposals with Engineering and Product Management
  • Own Should Cost negotiations and results for commodities in scope
  • Implement supplier ideas that drive cost reduction / lead time improvements
  • De-risk supply base (eliminate sole / single source suppliers, monitor financial risk profile of suppliers)
  • Coordinate and prioritize all priorities across multiple Oilfield Equipment P&Ls


Qualifications/Requirements:

 

 

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (preference Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy)
  • Proven years of experience in Sourcing (preference Raw material products)

 


Desired Characteristics:

 

 

 

 

  • Experience in Supplier Quality preferred
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) Sourcing experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Oilfield equipment products
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
