Tridentis, LLC is seeking experienced and qualified Senior Electrical Engineers to perform analysis and review of critical electrical documentation for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Marine Safety Center (MSC) in Washington DC. Tasking includes supporting the electrical plan review program performing technical support in evaluating AC and DC Electrical one line drawings, load analysis, hazardous area and cargo gauging, and other miscellaneous electrical systems such as fire detection, steering, communication or propulsion control. As a senior engineer, this person will serve as lead for the Tridentis electrical group providing direct customer support to the Marine Safety Center , with managing distribution and breakdown of workload tasking among the group. Work performance will take place on-site in the Washington, DC area.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will:

  • Be experienced reviewing electrical documentation against relevant Government standards and references such as CFR, SOLAS, IEEE-45, ABS Rules, NEC, NFPA Standard 13 and more.
  • Be familiar with commerical ship operations, maintenance concepts, programs and procedures.
  • Have the ability to track and log any review comments with the Marine Safety Center Office Tracking (MASCOT) Database. Access will be provided upon hiring.
  • Work cohesively with USCG Marine Safety Center leadership, internal & external personnel to timely meet schedule demands and work tasks to satisfactory closure.
  • Exhibit good written communication, analytical and organizational skills.


  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Five (5) years' experience in review and evaluation of commercial vessel design plans or shipyard working experience for compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • U.S. Citizenship, or lawful permanent residence, is required.
  • A U.S. Government Clearance of secret or higher is highly preferred
