Searching for a role where you can further develop your leadership skills? Here's a great job for an experienced manager with operations skills to help drive our offshore success. The perfect chance to grow your career with a supportive, global company.

Where you fit

As Offshore Installation Manager, you're going to be the most senior Shell UK leader offshore, pivotal in leading the success and development of the offshore installation team. Broadly speaking, that means planning and prioritising activities so that objectives are achieved safely, in time and to cost.

This is a critical multi-disciplinary, leadership role, which will call on your commercial awareness to achieve the expected high level performance whilst staying true to Shell's principles, vision and key objectives. A challenging, yet rewarding role, where you'll get the chance to demonstrate and grow your leadership and commercial skills within an exciting business and technical environment.

What's the role?

You'll use your finely tuned management skills to balance day to day operations with your talent for spotting improvements that will drive performance. You'll keep abreast of new opportunities, identifying and championing new ways of working across the facility, whether that's through technology or cost reduction.

Your excellent people skills will see you confidently coaching and motivating your team, other staff, and contractors to meet daily success targets, as you lead from the front with a high standard of work. You'll make time to help your team members with clear goals, support and feedback, and regularly collaborate with onshore staff to ensure the high quality of your offshore work.

Key to your role will be the safety and welfare of your staff and all other personnel on the facility, while you efficiently undertake planned work tasks. More specific duties here will include:

  • Helping to inspire and manage Health, Safety, Security Environment (HSSE) performance improvement amongst staff.
  • Leading incident investigations at the appropriate level.
  • Planning and coordinating activities to support maintenance activities, with minimum disruption to production.
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and legal frameworks.
  • Managing emergency response and implementation of programmes to improve HSSE.
