Wood is currently looking for a Senior Project Engineer to support development of a number of projects in the petroleum, petrochemical, chemicals, Oil and Gas sector in our Reading office;



Organise, attend, contribute and prepare reports for safety reviews and other multidiscipline meetings.
Contribute and participate to work in an enthusiastic manner, working to the requirements of quality and environmental management systems qualified to ISO standards.
Contribute and participate in the maintenance of safe working practices and the assessment and mitigation of safety issues through effort and reviews in design.
Understand, control and forecast work area activities against schedule and deliverables at a work division and individual basis.
Collate actions and expedite the closure of the outstanding actions with appropriate design disciplines
Understand work sequences and contribute to multi-discipline work with competence in, and a good working knowledge of, standards, specifications and procedures
Understand project execution and work sequences, relating this to schedule and budget; managing and reporting against these, maintaining the highest level of quality in deliverables and activities
Prepare and check scope of work specifications, project procedures and project report


Skills / Qualifications

Relevant industry background, gained predominately from working with major contractors
A strong and developed sense of health and safety within the working environment and in the design process
Proficient at leading teams of Project Engineers
Familiar with the preparation sequence and skills required in the development of P&IDs, line lists and special piping item lists
Familiarity with the use of an electronic mark up system would be an advantage
Able to manage work at interfaces including with Licensor Packages
Able to work effectively in and contribute to a team
