Role Summary:

In order to support and expand our current business for the Chemical & Industrial Services product line in Germany, we seek an Account Manager (m/f/d) supporting our German clients in the oil & gas industry. The role focusses on meeting and exceeding our customer's expectations whilst at the same time seeking new business opportunities further driving growth at sustainable financial performance. The Account Manager (m/f/d) is a passionate individual who is technically and commercially strong with great interpersonal skills.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Account management ensuring sustainable relationships and financial returns
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities with new and existing customers
  • Onshore chemical & process sampling, testing, analysis and reporting when required
  • Management of tenders, technical queries, projects and chemical trials
  • Maintain and build customer intimacy, interfacing with the relevant functions and departments.
  • Supply Chain Management of chemical supply and stock projections
  • Coordinate laboratory work scopes, providing technical assistance to support customer accounts
  • Maintain, develop and report value creation programs

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering or equivalent experience would be beneficial
  • Fluent in written and spoken German and English languages
  • Experience of working in production chemicals chemistry and supporting customer accounts, co-ordination industrial activities, scheduling and forecasting
  • Ability of managing technical projects, chemical trials as well as chemical supplies
  • Experience of providing chemical services in an industrial environment
  • Ability of handling and resolving chemical production and scheduling issues
  • Knowledge of various chemical testing methods, industrial processes and quality standards required within a chemical environment
  • Experience of working with HSE and QA standards and practices, knowledge of HSE and general housekeeping responsibilities within a chemical environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Driver license

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as oral, written and listening skills
  • Experience of working in a chemical laboratory and ability of supporting a chemical services account would be beneficial
  • Experience in project planning and report writing
  • Ability of identifying process improvements
  • financial acumen and presentation skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a wider team
  • Being able to organize, plan, delegate, allocate and execute work through diplomacy and negotiating
  • Basic knowledge of SAP is an advantage
