As the Recruiting Team Lead within Marathon Oil's Human Resources Team, you will craft and implement creative, comprehensive, and strategic sourcing strategies that will enable us to grow and reach our hiring targets this year and in the future.
-Define and drive the talent sourcing strategy for all hiring activity
-Partner with D&I HR leaders to drive diversity hiring initiatives and actively seek out opportunities to increase our diversity representation, implementing strategies and processes to enable a greater level of diversity in our organization
-Partner with Talent Management to align on delivery of Workforce Planning (WFP), forecasting and headcount management
-Optimize your team to deliver against demand while ensuring productivity targets are being met
-Manage and develop a high performing team of Recruiters and Specialists - actively enabling them to do their best work and develop their talents to grow within the company
-Enhance talent acquisition capabilities by providing leadership and mentoring; fostering a culture that promotes knowledge sharing, problem solving and "One Team"
-Drive sourcing capability in support of high impact business areas of priority, identifying best talent to drive quality of hire
-Focus on quality of hire through use of interview competencies and talent mapping exercises to hire best talent for all positions - own getting the right people into the right roles, including Manager coaching to align needs with plan
-Reporting & Analytics- ensure regular and predictable pipeline reporting for business leaders and HR partners; reporting to include pipeline status, talent and market insights, calling out trends and appropriate hiring strategies in response
-Oversee the processing, tracking and reporting cost data for all recruiting program initiatives including recruiting cordination, vendor Management, referral program, recruiting events and agency spend
-Audit processes, systems and reporting on a regular basis to provide governance, KPI insights, and process improvement recommendations
-Vendor Management - Partner with on-site vendor management team (VMS) to align FTE and contractor hiring strategy, providing guidance where required
-Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Recruiting Team by identifying areas of opportunity to improve productivity and processes
-Foster a culture of innovation by identifying and implementing AI, automation, and digital technology or resources
-As a working Team Lead, will manage a recruiting benchload including candidate pipeline management, selection, interviewing, offer management and pre-employment
-Coordinate searches with great confidentiality and the highest level of professionalism
-Partner with University Relations to maintain and develop relationships by assisting with the coordination all related activities with colleges and universities in a way which produces the best exposure and recognition from the college administration, faculty, students, and placement officers
-Provide the highest level of customer service through daily advice, hiring strategy and policy/process interpretation to managers and supervisors as well as to outside applicants to make sure that federal, state, and corporate policies are administered in a consistent and fair way
Position Requirements (skills, competencies, and experience):
-A minimum of 10 years of related business experience and ideally at least 8 years of sourcing experience; strong managerial/leadership experience critical
-Energy industry experience with knowledge of organizational alignment, functions and operations a plus
-A good knowledge of and deep passion for technology
-Ability to understand and articulate with complete clarity; recruiting partner and client's requirements, culture, needs, root causes and clear business cases/arguments for change
-Ability to communicate/collaborate effectively with Hiring Managers, Talent Managers and Compensation
-Influencing ability required with a demonstrated ability to negotiate, set expectations, overcome objections, and change outcomes; requires experience building consensus
-Demonstrated analytic skills and strong partnership with Recruiting and Business in issues
-Experience in project management and designing effective hiring processes to meet changing business needs
-Strong account management, interpersonal, organizational, written, negotiation and presentation skills
-Strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Candidate Tracking Systems - SuccessFactors ATS and HR Systems preferred
-Position may occasionally require travel to field locations
