Role Summary/Purpose

The Inspection - QC IV is a Quality expert with advanced knowledge of testing and repair techniques and processes. Solid product knowledge. In this role you will utilize your experience using precision measuring equipment, i.e., calipers, micrometers, dial calipers, etc, performing final quality inspections, identifying and initiating Nonconformance Reports, and being a Quality Ambassador for the shop.

Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Inspection - QC IV, you will:
  • Perform all quality inspections in the repair processes
  • Conducts final quality checks
  • Be responsible for non-conformance reports
  • Assures that repaired units meet quality specifications, procedures, and customer requirements
  • Implements corrective action and preventive measures to ensure quality practices are in place, and in practice in the repair processes.
  • Use of the following equipment: Borescope, Hardness Testing, Micrometers, & Positive Material Identification gun
  • Implement ISO or API standards
  • Verifies specialized testing results
  • Conducts & completes audits throughout the shop
  • Ensure processes contribute to a safe work environment & support HSE initiatives
  • Support the quality function through integration of ISO / QMS documentation and Manufacturing methods Instructions
  • Lead quality improvement projects yielding significant reductions in defects
  • Share and implement best practices to/from other service centers

Qualifications/Requirements
  • High School Diploma from an accredited institution or school
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in manufacturing, services, or operations experience

Desired Characteristics
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing, services, or operations experience
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
  • Nondestructive testing experience
  • Understanding of Welding processes
  • Understanding of Nondestructive testing processes
  • Understanding of Machining processes
  • Ability to manage priorities and achieve results
  • Prior exposure to and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
  • Strong repairing process knowledge
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Six Sigma training or equivalent Quality training
