ASST. MANAGER, CONSTRUCTION
Primary Purpose of Job
Responsible, accountable, in charge and project focal point for the Construction and Commissioning activities of all field Projects to ensure that Department's assigned projects are constructed in accordance with approved Scope of Work, engineering design, safety, and environment standards & specifications. Manage and supervise the offshore construction, installation and hook up works for green and brown field hydrocarbon EPIC projects for offshore platforms, jackets, and topsides, pipelines and umbilicals on behalf of the company. Manage and supervise the fabrication and construction works of offshore jackets, and topsides at the contractors fabrication yards. Review and approve the constructability of the projects and ensure the construction and fabricated portions of the work are meeting the company's technical and inspection requirements. Manage and supervise the installation and laying of subsea pipelines and umbilicals. Manage the mobilization of offshore vessels and barges, and arrange for the marine and safety inspections and closing out of punch lists before mobilization to work locations. Manage and supervise a large team of site construction supervisors, commissioning supervisors/coordinators, and offshore logistic team in the base country and in the overseas locations to manage the above activities. Ensure the construction and installation work is going per schedule. Ensure the work is done as per the company's HSE requirements. Report to the manager of the offshore projects and to the respective projects managers with the construction and installation progress and remedial actions for delayed construction work. Oversee and provide guidance/advice to subordinates in supervision of construction and commissioning works both onshore and offshore to ensure that all activities are performed as per approved method statements complying to project schedule, quality and material requirements.
B.Sc. in an Engineering discipline extensive hands-on construction experience coupled with large scale offshore project construction management experience.
Experience & Skills
* A minimum of 20 years' experience in relevant construction and installation experience of major Oil & Gas projects in an Oil & Gas company or Contractor/Consultant.
* Good Working knowledge of construction related standards and QHSE awareness.
* Excellent knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety and environmental awareness.
* Excellent ability to interpret and review method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules and drawings.
