The purpose of the Production Geology/Production Seismology Discipline Lead is: Take the responsibility of the most Senior Production Geoscientist in one of the clusters/study teams. Carry-out reservoir geological studies and conduct & provide consultancy with regard to high-end reservoir modelling. Take the responsibility of geoscience technical assurance/technical reviews across assigned directorate providing support to the key Petroleum Engineering assurance reviews, peer assists etc. To manage the development of discipline staff within the Directorate by hands on technical coaching and overseeing the development of staff competency, within the framework of staff development managed by the PG Corporate Functional Discipline Head. To manage the PG discipline succession planning in the Directorate owned by the CFDH. The incumbent should balance a 50% workload within the respective cluster/study team with a 50% coaching/assurance role across the Directorate addressing the business priorities as set by the respective cluster lead and discipline priorities as set by the CFDH.

- University degree in Geology or equivalent. Strong theoretical background in reservoir geology with relevant experience level of 15 years or more in the oil/gas EP industry - Skilled in clastics and/or carbonate reservoir characterization and modeling, with good all-round knowledge of other PE disciplines. Proven track record working in an integrated FDP team environment. All round Production Geoscientist. - Proven track record in peer reviews and assists - Technical Assurance - Effective communicator and team player, ability to coach / mentor younger staff and ability to think beyond geosciences discipline - Skilled in all elements of leadership, in particular building and sharing visions/strategies, change management and achieving thru others - Skilled in defining geosciences application and data management requirements - Knowledge of 2D and 3D seismic trace interpretation (Petrel SI is recommendable) in integrated field development planning - Knowledge of structural geology, fractured reservoir identification and modeling tools - Knowledge of operations geology - Knowledge of Geomatics Information Management functionality and databases
