Role Summary/Purpose

The Assembly Technician will support, improve, and lead production of valve, regulators, and instruments through problem solving innovative idea generation and creative problem solving.

Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Assembly Technician, you will:
  • Pick / Pull an order via pick list or delivery route
  • Move / Transport material via pallet jack, forklift, or crane as needed
  • Transact material, process orders, and open work instructions via computer
  • Assemble via cutting, bending, routing & fitting pressure tubing to attach meters and gauging devices
  • Be proficient with pneumatic hand tools, electro-mech assembly, & test equipment
  • Check work via use of gauges, visuals and measuring tools
  • Perform test, and paint per work instructions
  • Pack, and Ship via radial saw, wrapping and banding as needed
  • Maintain an organized / visual workspace (6S understanding)
  • Support key initiatives such as(on time delivery, schedule attainment, cost of quality (SQDC)
  • Generate and implement improvement ideas and encourage idea generation among team members and stop work for safety, stop production for quality, and escalate concerns
  • Be familiar with and use of proactive root cause problem solving (Pareto, Fishbone etc.)
  • Ensure all products assembled meet the quality standards in accordance with procedures, engineering specifications, drawings and work instructions Qualifications/Requirements
  • Responsible for working around areas where hazardous wastes may be generated or stored but are not responsible for the management (filling, labeling, moving, etc) of those wastes.
  • Responsible for notification to the proper supervisor/Waste Management Lead of any spill events that occur

  • High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
  • Minimum 1 year of experience interpreting basic design drawings and work instructions
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing, mechanic, maintenance, plumbing or warehouse experience

Eligibility Requirements
  • Ability and willingness to work in a climate control facility
  • Ability and willingness to work 1st or 2nd shift
  • Ability and willingness to work in a sedentary manner with constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
  • Ability and willingness to work in a hands-on environment and able to lift 35 pounds
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to constantly evolving work requirements in a team 32221 environment
  • Ability and willingness to generate ideas, root cause problem solve, and implement solutions using Lean Manufacturing Methodology
  • Ability and willingness to be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
  • Ability and willingness to be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time
