Baker Hughes, a GE Company is seeking Assembly, Maintenance & Overhaul (AMO) Technicians to join their Completions and Wellbore Intervention team in Tananger, Norway.
Troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble and perform mechanical inspections. Ability to identify and communicate technical problems by using logical troubleshooting techniques.
Enter data into database and access the necessary maintenance data records to apply maintenance routines.
Handles special projects, as assigned.
Compliance with HS&E policies and procedures in accordance to BHGE policies.
High school diploma. Entry level. Mechanic certification preferred.
Certification holder of forklift and overhead crane will be preferred.
Good experience within any of the following sectors or disciplines: Industrial, aviation, oilfield / oil and gas, automotive.
Strong work ethics.
Ability to work in a team and use own initiative.
Ability to work safely and to ensure the safety of others.
Fluent English and Norwegian language skills verbal/written.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists and follow formal procedures and maintenance practices.
Proficient in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes.
Proficient in the use of multi meters, megoh meters, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments.
Ability to follow instructions.
Knowledge of mechanical operating procedures and processes. Good analytical skills.
Advanced level of understanding in finding solutions to complex technical problems.
