~~Job Summary

This position will work directly with U.S. customs brokers for all US classification requests, review and update U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedules (USHTS) commodity classifications for all EnscoRowan catalog items, process daily requests for import documentation (i.e. obtain affidavits and origin certifications) from entire Supply Chain (this includes foreign land bases), ensure follow-up to all Supply Chain requests for policy clarification and/or procedures, maintain USHTS/origin information in supplier and electronic files, audit import "paper" files and generate all ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) reports using the U.S. Customs ACE portal established for EnscoRowan. This position will assist the Supervisor-Exports/Imports yearly, monthly auditing of import transactions for compliance with U.S. customs regulations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

? Plans and directs flow of air and surface traffic to/from foreign destinations. Computes duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of merchandise exported/imported to/from foreign destinations. Examines invoices and shipping documents to ensure accordance with federal and global regulations
? Analyze importations/exports and use training and apply knowledge of US customs ruling to properly administer valuation on imports/exports, licensing, and trade compliance regulations.
? Documentation/Record Keeping, sets up all new rig requests for returns to USA as well as commercial
? Ensures all Importer Security Filings (ISF) for inbound ocean freight are submitted through the customs broker accurately and timely
? Collects and manages all import-related documentation as filed by the Customs broker
? Compiles & transmits all broker-requested classification or entry information (i.e. requests for USHTS#,FDA, FCC certification forms, general delivery instructions)
? Classification; processes all requests for US HTS
? Maintains the US HTS Import file with current information
? Assigns US HTS# to all new Items Id items and uploads same into PeopleSoft
? Reporting/Auditing ;Assists the Supervisor- Import/ Export Trade Compliance with internal audit processes as needed
? Creates all U.S. Customs reporting through the ACE portal under guidance of Manager - Logistics & Trade
? Advises Compliance Department of breaches in policy
? Assists in training outside functional groups in general U.S. import & export regulations and requirements
? Advises all EnscoRowan Supply Chain of potential changes in U.S. import & export regulations that could affect current business practices
? Maintains the US HTS Import Database with current information
? Assists Trade Compliance Supervisor with internal audit processes as needed
? Creates all U.S. Customs import reporting through the ACE portal under guidance of Trade Compliance Manager
? Advises Import-Export Trade Compliance Manager of breaches in policy
? Ensures all Export Screenings are processed through software on a weekly basis for entire Supply Chain, HR , Tax and other functional groups
? Collects and mantains all export-related documentation as filed by the freight forwarders (record retention)
? Processes all requests for Sch. B/ECCN classification from freight forwarder or internal customers
? Creates reporting for export data through use of Census Bureau information and/or forwarder
? Supports all U.S. import/export transactions
? Supports process changes for enhanced U.S. import and export compliance procedures
? Supports Global Logistics with any/all inquiries pertaining to U.S. import/export-related movement
? Other duties as directed
