RPS is looking for highly professional, passionate wellsite geologists who are interested in working on a long-term program in the Pennsylvania area.

Job Description:
• Read, understand, and communicate pertinent data derived from wireline logs, MWD tools, seismic charts, structural maps, offset data, and geological prognoses before, during, and at completion of the drilling operation
• Analyze, evaluate, and describe formations during the drilling process by using cuttings, gas, and geophysical MWD tools
• Follow all HSE and A&D rules and regulations
• Compare data gathered during drilling with data provided by clients
• Advise on potential drilling hazards
• Advise operations personnel on-site and in the office
• Act as the representative of the company's Geological team
• Supervise third party services such as open hole logging, coring, or wellbore testing personnel
• Keep detailed records and daily reports
• Complete all final well reports and analysis in a timely manner
• Communicate regularly with RPS office and company Operations Geologist

• A Bachelor of Science in Geology
• 2+ years of field experience is preferred
• Good understanding of Geophysical data and drilling operations
• Exceptional communication skills
• Geosteering and/or Marcellus Shale experience would be considered an asset
