Role Summary:

The person will be part of the DEV/OPS PLM team for team center application as coordinator and responsible of the application support.

Will work in collaboration with the PLM application owner, the PLM system administrator and other, external application, DEV/OPS team will lead a work in collaboration with a located team.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Staff Enterprise Application Engineer, you will:
  • Be responsible for the support of an engineering PLM application Teamcenter (*) and it's customizations / integrations with external systems
  • Be responsible of other custom applications always connected with the PLM data manipulation or reporting
  • Manage the incoming issues from the end users located globally (registered and tracked on a dedicated tool)
  • Make sure that the issues are closed on time and in quality and properly classified as per Business rules
  • After the issues is closed the person will perform the root cause analysis of the same in order to identify corrective actions to fix the SW solution or modify the process
  • Execute the tasks with the support of a remote team of expert, periodical travel in the remote support center might be requested for better team coordination and process definition
  • Be initially assigned to the role of application tester, to verify the quality of the custom code developed on the PLM, the person will be training on both the process and SW solution. As the person learn he/hw will support in the test case definition and later will be moved to support
  • Be involved meeting with the business to define new requirements and possibly implementations of small size for TC or non TC application
  • The person, on need, can act directly on the incident providing the solution to the user, anyhow the main responsibility is to ensure that the L2 support team works in accord to priorities and the agreed service level agreement
  • Follow and define a structured process for INC routing and resolution
  • Collect INC from users, prioritize, classify
  • Monitor and keep under control INC inflow and Aging
  • Report out INC status / statistics to PLM manager and APP owner
  • Pass INC to Sysadmin or L3
  • Solve INC, with the help of the team or individually
  • Create FAQs documents for users and for L2 support team
  • Manage the L2 support team knowledge transfer in case of team member rotation
  • Perform RCA so that new code fixes can be applied to reduce INC inflow
  • Monitor interfaces / data transfer flow and data quality
  • Support the Application Owner in testing / regression testing as needed, after code deploy
  • Collect business requirements and support he implementation of the technical solutions

(*) for Baker Hughes the PLM system is used to manage and store engineering documentation (such as drawing and bill of material), perform change on the same. Additional function of the tool include manufacturing related data management, reporting and it is integration with ERP and other systems.

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with software development and support
